I am a transgender man who recently bought this to use as a chest binder. This is extremely comfortable and binds well despite being a little big for me (I had to get a size larger because I broke my back 2 years ago so I can't use binders that are super tight). I've found that I can wear this binder for up to 6 hours comfortably, but given my condition, I'd say someone without my issues can wear it much longer.
And the front clasps are very useful and easy to use (since I also broke my shoulder and elbow, it's very hard to lift my arm and pull a binder over my head by myself).
I very highly recommend this as a chest binder/post-op compression shirt.

Let me explain the reason for the title. The garment I received had metal closure hook/eye fasteners- and- the material used is stretchy, but not too stretchy. There are other products that use plastic hook/eye fasteners and an almost elastic fabric. If you need compression, and I do, I don't need something as elastic as I found other brands. Underworks has the best that I can see and easy to care. The material is strong and the fasteners are robust. By strong I mean it resists riding up like some other products do that are more elastic. I got the vest and I don't have to worry about the area above the waist- where it is crucial!.

This compression garment is doing extremely well for me so far after about a week after my gynecomastia surgery! Went for this because of the price and how quickly I would get it. Shipping was fast and arrived way before what Underworks estimated.

I did have an issue with the one I received as a latch was loose and was about to fall off the fabric. I quickly notified Underworks and they sent me a replacement within 30 minutes of contacting them. Great customer service and a great product for any man going through the process of healing from a gynecomastia surgery!
